Using AC21, H1/EAD situation

Hello

I am switching a job using AC21 (140 has been approved and 485 is pending for more than 6 months) in similar kind of job. New company is in the process of filing H1 transfer (as that is what I requested and they accepted).
Since they have urgent requirement for me to start, new company lawyer is suggesting to start on EAD for a week and than switch on H1.

Is it safe to start on EAD and than switch on transferred H1 (basically based on received reciept of filing)?
I do have option to say NO and wait to get H1 transfer reciept.

i will suggest it's better too say "No". one week is not the big time. More over you do not want any issue iwth ur I-485

---You may know as well, once you start working in your EAD, your H1 status becomes invalid.
