USICS Request More Info

On my I485 online status, it posts the following msg,

"On March 25, 2004, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information in this case. The notice explains in detail what additional material is needed. If you have questions about the notice, what is required, or if 14 days have passed and you have not received the notice, please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283."

I still don't know what info they need from me. If I am able to send them what they need ASAP, is it still going to cause any delay to my I485 approval?

If anyone have the answer or simalar experience, please share it with me.

It is clear from the message that they need more info; if your lawyer filed I-485 he may get the letter. Once you get the letter send the document what they need

Please write when u filed ur i485, in which service center??. Is your i140 approved already?

Please write RFE too once u received letter from INS.

A lot of people have been getting requests for additional information, which usually is employment verification or even last couple of pay stubs(gurus, please correct me if I am wrong), if your I-140 is already approved this could mean you are getting close. I don't think this should worry you. Good luck!!

I'm new to this Forum, what is RFE stand For?

I have my I140 approved May 2002,

I485 Notice Date- July 3rd 2002 from Nebraska SC.

You have started this thread with that INS requires
some additional INformation or Evidence. That is called RFE (Request for Evidence).

I have asked you to post additional Information here Once you have received letter from INS.

Second FP Request from USICS

The RFE that I received from USICS is a request for second fingerprint. In the notice, it writes,
"FBI was unable to process your FP card, in order to for us to continue the process....."

I485 ND -07/02/02
1st FP- 12/11/02
2nd FP - 03/25/04


is this a common process for 2nd FP?

Bummer... :( Yes, you might be called for second/third FPs if FPs don't come out ok. You might wanna check with FBI. There is a number listed in the forums. Search for it.

-----NO, if you did finger prints 15 months back then you have to go for second fingerprint before I-485 approval.
If your fingerprints are unclassifiable then again you have to do fingerprints.
Many have fingerprint problems those who have weak ridges and have to go again for fingerprints and supervisor at ASC will take 2-3 sets of fingerprints on FBI card so that they get good fingerprints. They may also apply ridge builder solution to fingertips to get good fingerprints.
If still FBI cant get good finger prints then you will be asked to submit state police clearance and one can get state police clearance in 10-15 days
