use of EAD for a mcjob

i'm in the aos phase, 180 days have passed by
i recently got laid off.
is it OK to use the EAD for a mcjob (any job really!!) to help tide over things while looking for a "real" job?
 
Perfectly all right

Just make sure you can handle the Employment verification letter ( for RFE ) with a same/similar job that was mentioned in your LC.

Absolutely!

Your EAD is good for any job since your AOS is for a future position and as long as you are looking for a similar job as outlined in your labor cert or I-140. Best of luck in your job hunt!

The condition for GC approval is that you should be employed with the same or similar job (??).

In case of a layoff one has to be very careful to be able to prove to BCIS that (s)he is working in the same or similar job. As long as this is covered I don't think there should be any problem.
