Use I-485 EAD affect H-1?

Hi,

I missed the 2004 H-1 quota and my OPT will expire at May 1st. I have submitted I-140/I-485 concurrently on NIW in Feb. I am thinking apply EAD so I can continue to work. My question is id using EAD while I-140/I-485 is pending will prohibit me from getting H-1 on Oct. 1st, this year? Many thanks.

++++++++++++No prohibition. You may need to get an H-1 visa stamp if you wish to convert to H-1 later on.
