The venerable (my foot) USCIS has decided that it was about time our cases were approved. 26 months, 2 fingerprints, three EADs and three Advance Paroles later, we received our approval on April 20th. Both the website and the automated phone message were updated this morning. Ours was a labor substitution, EB3, no RFE case, cleared after a mere 10 days of second FP.
At the risk of understating, let me just say that it has been a painful journey, made all the more painful by the legendary inefficiencies of this monster known at different times by different names. I wish they became more sensitive to the pain and suffering that most of us are subjected to. May God give them the courage to become more conscientious, efficient, humane and proactive.
Good luck to all you folks still going through this grind. You are a nice community, though somewhat cantankerous at times!
