USCIS Official Receipt

When a H1-B request (in my case a transfer) is sent via Premium Processing, does the USCIS ALWAYS send an official receival notice? My lawyer claims he only has the FedEx receipt, nothing from the USCIS. Do they still send it even though the request is sent via premium?

Thanks,

Jake

Thanks for your help - how long does it usually take for the USCIS to send this official receipt. My lawyer got already notice from FedEx / postal receipt that the USCIS received the information on 4/6. However, as of today 4/21 no USCIS receipt was received. The request was sent premium processing. Is it possible, that both receipt and transfer approval come close to the same time?

Also, I am in Europe right now and since the official USCIS receipt didn't come yet as mentioned above, can I come back on my current (and still valid) H1-B to the US? I resigned from the company that sponsered my still active visa last week. However as I still have my approval notice and valid passport stamp, I should be still in status. Just how can I come back later this week?

Thanks,

Jake

was it filed, by chance, with the Texas Service Center? if so, they are experiencing about a two-week delay at this time with the premium processing, but you should have your lawyer contact them to get the receipt number so you can check on the status of your application. i did this on behalf of my client just this afternoon who is in a similar situation.
