Just now, my employer got a call from an attorney in NY stating that one of my employers H1 application got rejected and sent to him. We have no clue who this attorney is. USCIS made a mistake and sent it to an incorrect address. This attorney had the courtesy to call us and inform us and agreed to forward the mail.
When we expressed our frustration over USCIS to this attorney, he laughed and told us that two of his papers ended up with an attorney in California.
USCIS seem to be sending papers wherever they feel like sending them.
