Hi guys,

I was just doing some searches on the USCIS website and I found a web page that says that if you had applied on or before March 31, 2006, the timeframe to be processed September 30 2006!!! I guess that we will all get approved within the current fiscal year! I mean it's nice to see it written officially on the USCIS web site! The page was updated TODAY!!! This is good news!! Here is the link: http://uscis.gov/graphics/services/refadjust/index.htm

And here is the excerpt:
"The Service is receiving between 25,405– 43,881 applications per year. As a result, as of January 10, 2005, approximately 186,170 asylee adjustment applications were pending. We anticipate that we will process pending applications according to the following schedule:

Date Received (Mail Date) -------------Timeframe to be Processed
On or before March 31, 2006 -----------September 30, 2006

We emphasize that these dates are APPROXIMATIONS; unforeseen occurrences may delay processing."

Thanks, MTGrl. :) And of course some cases may still take longer due to background check process. I believe my case is in the background/name check right now; I am just hoping it won't take too long.

Thanks guys. I just wanted to share it with all of you since it seemed like a good news!

Actually can't belive it. But it's all good. Thank you.

Why not I-K-A-K-O? It's better than the timeframe they had before (like 2013/2014/2016), don't you think so? Have faith Man!!! :)

Hi Clotty,

What made you think that your case is in background/name check stage? I have no idea how people know that. I asked many times on the forum, but nobody seems to tell me anything! Is there a place to check that?

Nah, it was just a guess. They already have all the essential documents they need from me so since I saw LUD changes a couple of times after they received my RFE, I assumed they sent it to name/background check as that seems to be the next step before approval. But who knows, maybe there is another step I am not aware of. I just hope whatever step it is, it won't take too darn long, hah ha.

Oh yeah of course. From seeing people's approvals on this board I knew I would get a response one way or another before the end of summer. The fact that they asked our RFE's was proof enough that we would be getting approved within a year because if the caps were not removed and the system was slow like before, we would be asked RFE's in 2010 or something. *shudders*

I do need a green card very bad ! I had a car accident 1 year ago and my right leg is in very bad condition. In order to fix it i need a surgery wich can be done only in russia, can't do it in USA due to astronomical price ! Russia is not issuing visas for TRD holders unless they have a Green Card. I am young man and until i get this surgery done my life will suck !

Sorry to hear that I-K-A-K-O! I hope you get it soon! Yeah, you DO need your GC!

By the way, I heard that getting treated in India and/or Bangkok is really cheap! I saw a TV program about it one day, and it seems like it's really great (cheap but excellent treatement)! The hospital looked like a resort! I don't know how you feel about that, but why don't you check it out!

I hope all works out well for you! Good luck!

This device is patented in Russia. In USA and any other country it will cost much much more to install it. Also Russians have great experience to do this.
Wow, that looks serious! Well, I hope all goes well for you! Good luck! By the way, Insurance would not cover it for you here? I am assuming you or the person who hit you had auto insurance.

She gave a link in the first post. Click on it and scroll down a bit.

Like I said click on that link, it is on that page; scroll down a bit. It is under :"Important Notice". MTGrl quoted in her first post what that paragraph says. It is there.....

Like I said first CLICK on the link MGTgrl gave in the first post on this thread, OK? And then just scroll down a bit SLOWLY. And you will see a bold "Important Notice" , that is where it is. Just do what I wrote.
