USCIS recd the favorable recommendation from DoS on Aug 22 2006 and I received the I797C receipt to track the case on Aug 29th. My waiver is based on No Objection and Vermont is my service center. From reading posts at this forum I estimated the final appproval from USCIS to come by Sept end. But, I have heard nothing from the USCIS so far.
Does anyone have a recent experience with the vermont service center?
Any idea how long this final approval takes? Any tip to expedite the process?

It is really good if you would get your final waiver no sooner. Vermount Service Center showed they are processing the cases of Mar 20, 2006 on Sept 19, 2006. So you can estimate when you are getting final waiver. I got I797C receipt on April 18 and I estimated to get end of Nov or Dec as they are not doing very quickly, doubbling time on difference of I797C receipt.
But who knows they are doing very fast on case by case. Give a drop of line when you got final waiver.
GoodLuck

J1 waiver from USCIS

Hi:
I saw the discussion on this thread. According to "mlinoo" the Vermont center is dealing cases until March 20, 2006. I looked the Vermont center processing times and read the following" I-612: Application for Waiver of the Foreign Residence Requirement: Application for a waiver of the 2-year foreign residence requirement based on exceptional hardship or persecution: March 20, 2006"

My question is that this statment mentions the processing for cases based on exceptional hardship or persecution. Are cases based on NO OBJECTION dealt in the same way or they take less time?
Thanks for your input.
