USCIS customer representative are not dumb terminal it seems
Hi
My ead was supposed to expire on 8th July.My wife works on EAD for a big co.I filed EAD on 21st May and with latest TSC processing dates it should have been done on 21st June.Enquired ,came to know they sent it to Vermont and their processing dates are 30th April. There is no rule that since my case is from TSC my EAD should be processed from Texas.Fine. Called vermont thru my lawyer and requested them to send it back to texas. In the meantime I eFiled EAD for tSC.Done BIO/FP etc.LUD changed several times on EAD but no message changed.Today I called TSC or NSC (1800-dumb-terminal) and the guy was telling me the status and told me that TSC is processing 21st May 2005.I told him ,sir you are outdated please check the latest time table and its 6th June.First he dclined but latter accepted that he is having outdated info. Then he told me there is no way I can get EAD before 90 days.He asked me that did he answered all me questions and I said I have not called you for question answer session rather resolving my problem. He got anoyed ,and told me lot of stuff like he is trying best to answer.I thanked him and hanged the phone.I checked my mail box and came to know my EAD was approved on 5th July. This exactly happened at time of my AP.I am feeling sorry about these dumb terminal.

I do not believe a word they say

victim_of_INS,

I have learnt the hard way to not believe these people. Infact I have stopped calling them altogether. The only way to get some information out of the TSC is through AILA inquiries and Congressional Inquiries. The customer service reps and even the TSC reps are useless. They tend to make things worse by giving us the wrong information.

regards,

saras

i agree with saras. IMHO, the CSRs are outsourced and dont even directly work for DHS. they just put the 'nice' face so that most folks will 'buy' the good nature. as far as getting any valuable information out of them for our cases (which is what they really shud be there for)...forget it...u r better of getting a dart board on ur own and practicing on it. they have misled me enuff times now that i feel i am wasting my time if i talk to them after 15 buttons and 15-30 min hold times.

good luck to all.

My experience is exactly similar to Saras 76. Conflcting Info from different people at different time

Every time I call, I get a Difference answer

well

I have extensive experience in talking to TSC officers and CSRs. What surprises me they will lie to you just for the fun of it. I will never be able to understand it. Why instead of telling customer "i have nothing to tell" you invent some kind of elaborate lie, involving mythical "supervisors", "security checks", "CIA checks", "being overloaded by chinese and indian cases", looks like they hire pathological liars :)
