Back log Processing time

I filed RIR from IOWA in Aug 2004 .
Any Guess how long it takes under backlog processing?
How is the backlog processing done ? Regular and RIR in two different pools?

My H1-b expires in feb 2006 ? Any chance to get this by then ??

Even if you do not get your labor approved, you can get one year extensions on your H1B (based on pending labor application for more then 365 days prior to H1B expiring) until you get your GC. Hope this can help you somewhat .....
 
Well it sounds encouraging. But my July 2003 485 case is not touched yet. How could they achieve 06/2006 processing time at end of 2006?

I saw that and the reason is that they have said that they will not be adjudicating those 485s that are not within Priority Dates and they take those numbers out of the picture. This is just a numbers game man ...
