Hi,

my citizenship interview will be coming up soon.
Just wondering: Is the US History and Government test a written test or does the INS officer ask questions ?
I'd love to hear your experiences about this test.

Thanks,
Tina.

In my case it was a verbal test. The questions are generated by the computer and the INS officer was reading them from there. Also she was documenting the questions and the answers.

Its good that the questions are generated by the computer as this takes away any bias the officer may have towards the applicant.

It should be a breeze if you have prepared using the 100 questions from the INS website.

My freind had the citizenship interview last week.

First her address, name and other info was confirmed.

Then, she was asked 10 questions out of those 100 questions verbally.

And finally she was asked to write "My house is very clean"

Thanks.
