Don't apply for a visa.

Stay where you are.

We don't want more immigrants in the US, legal or illegal.

Stay in your own countries.

Stay in your own countries and make them better. We have too many immigrants in the U.S.

Why don't YOU imigrate out of this country? Most of us are here because we weren't happy where we were. Sounds like you are not happy in US. So go somewhere else.

Sorry guys, jonhaloi is right.
No more vacancy
No more jobs - BPO got em all. All our jobs are now gone - they're in Bangalore. Go talk to Tata. No more knowledge transfers (you were counting on).
Sorry, we're wiped (as in wipro) out.

Citizens of the nation of immigrants whose forefathers have come from different continents kicking/cheating/killing the right owners of nation (red Indians) want the new immigrants out how funny? why r you afraid of same fate to you guys. dont worry we Indians are not so ruthless. By the way, if not for India this continent probably would not have been found, so be greatful to India instead of hating it.

On 2nd thought I want to reason with jonhaloi. Tell us why you hate immigrants? What do you think they are taking away from you/your family and your country?
We might be able to tell you lots of stories on contributions done to this country that if not for people immigrating wouldn't have happened or worse would benefit a country that is in competition with US.

I believe I can explain this. jonholoi, Bad Ass Outcast, and Worry for GC, are most likely trying to represent themselves as something they are not. I believe they would like to create an image here of anti-illegal immigrant activists, that is quite false.

Several weeks back, a link was posted on this site to vote on an Alipac thread. The ones who posted this link here were from a group opposing us.

The Alipac thread actually contained another link to get to the actual vote.

Our site was overrun with opposition posters many of whom were finally banned from the site. After several weeks of our keeping the YES vote for HR4437 above a majority count, the "Day without an Immigrant" mentioned us as "AntiAmerican" activists on their site.

I believe what you are seeing here is just an elaborate scheme to "pay back" for having been banned from our site, and for our keeping the yes vote above the no vote while they helplessly watched with no remedy.

I believe the ones trying to cause anger and hatred over here come from one of the two groups - the ones who posted the original link here - or the ones that have the actual vote on their site.

That said, I would like to say that the majority of people who are fighting against ILLEGAL immigration are not against LEGAL immigration at all. The media likes to use "anti-immigrant" or other semantic tricks, to cast us in a hateful light. Our opposition also likes to paint us as being ignorant and racist. This is also a lie. Many of us have immigrant spouses or family members and we are made up of people of all races and backgrounds.

I believe that is what these posters are suddenly here for. You will not be able to reason with them because they are just pretending to hold their hateful positions anyway. Just a word to the wise. :)

Thank you, Roc123. I went to look at that website. It is a real shame that modern day slavery is being allowed and even created by our own government. That's why Americans need to work together with foreigners who are being used like this.

Name-calling and getting angry at these people is, to me, like gamecocks fighting each other for their masters' enjoyment, when they should instead be rising up against the masters and scratching their eyes out.(figuratively speaking, of course)

All of us, Americans included, are being forced into globalism - a society where the top 1% will rule and the rest will live in virtual slavery. THAT is what the illegal immigration issue is about. This situation has been created purposely for the benefit ONLY of the big corporations. They want a chance to lower wages and workplace standards.

We, the common people, should be forming bonds against this, rather than attacking each other.
