If you \'re working in US w/ H1B and get CA PR, do you have to reapply a new H1B or just nothing?
thanks

You can keep on working on H1B as long it is valid. However once you get a canadian landing status, you have to land in Canada within a certain date. This date is usually one year from your medical is done.

thanks canediann, let me get straight: your comments sounds like to say that after I land in Canada, my H1B will be invalid and I have to apply a new just because I become CA PR? I heard that CA government is going to pass a new bill which allow the CA PA keep their PR status valid if you live in CA at least two years out of 5-year period, in that case, it\'s " lawful" to have CA PA while working in US. So, (watch this) you can keep CA PA while you \'re applying US GC, the dream is : if you get US GC in three years ( or you feel you \'ll get it ), then forget about CA PR! if not, you \'re still safe.
what\'s your opinion?
thanks
