US Green Card Application and Canadian PR?

I am currently a landed imigrant in Canada and telecommuting to my US employer. I filed my Labor Certification this year.
Looks like I will be done 140 stage next year.

I am planning to stop at 140 for about a year before filing I-485 because I don't want to get Green Card aproved before I get my Canadaian citizenship. I heard having US green card may interfe my Canadian PR and Canadian citizenship application.
Does this sound right?

Or should I continue with green card process ? But in this case there is a question in the Canadian citizenship, Did you get Permanent residency form any country after getting Canadian permenant residency? Is this a trap or it is legal?
