US GC then Canadian PR

I just got the I-551 stamp (my temporary GC) on my my passport. I am also holding Canada landing papers, which will expire next month. Now, I do not want to give up the Canadian papers because 1) I spent time and money to obtain it and 2) a landed immigrant status in Canada would provide benefits such as bringing over parents/brothers/sisters. In US, it would be virtually impossible.

So, my intention is to land in Canada soon. I will keep a Canadian address but don\'t intend to live there. However, I have the following wonderings:

1) Would landing in Canada affect my US status? For example, next time when I go abroad and return to US, would the Canadian stamp on my passport cause any problem?

2) Is it possible for me to become eligible in the future to bring parents, etc. into Canada, given the fact I will not be living in Canada? If yes, what needs to be done?

Experts, please give your opinion. Thanks a lot!

Legally there is no law that prevent you from keeping US green card and canadian landing status. However remember that both the countries have similar requirements for residency requirements. In canada you have to physically stay for 183 days or in US you have to stay 6 months.
so thereotically you have to come up with a good answer to immigration officers in case they find out that you have both.In case if you do not have one they might revoke one of them and the burden of proof would be on you.
One point I want to tell you that you cannot sponsor your parents or any relative if you do not pay any income tax to Revenue Canada.
So what you can do is land in Canada and hope that bill C11 would be pass soon and signed by Governor General and becomes a law soon.
This current law will require only to stay 2 years out of 5 years.
The next step you can do after passing this bill is report your US income to Revenue Canada and pay some more extra tax(usually the difference)to Revenue Canada. Then you would be able to sponsor you parents or any unmarried brothers or sisters.

Bill C11

whare can I get more Information on this Bill ? Seems like its going to make a huge impact on Canadian Immigration.
