Hi All,
We are leaving the US on in December for xmas with the family. I am leaving my employment on 30th January and don't intend to renew/extend the L1 Visa I have which expires on 10th January.
However, we are returning from the UK to the U.S. at the end of December and there will only be 10 or 11 days left on the visa.
I'm concerned that we might not be given entry with only 10 days of the Visa left on the passport. Some people have suggested the employer may be called, (there is only one other employee and he may not be around), as the company is pulling out of direct U.S. operations at the end of January.
Does anybody have experiences of immigration officers when entering the U.S. with nearly expired visas? What can we expect??
I'm bringing my elderly inlaws over for a visit and will have 3 young children and my wife with me - the last thing I'd need is interrogation and repatriation at that point.
Thanks for any input
Kind regards
