I have a question regarding Citizenship and was wondering if you help me.
I got married to my husband (he is born-American) on May 1996 and moved to
US and received temporary green card (permanent card) on Jun 04 1996.
On January 3 2000, I applied for US Citizenship based on my marriage
(3-5years).
At the time of filing, I have been married to him for 4 and half years and
been living together since.
The other day, I received finger print appointment notice from INS and I
finished finger print process.
Now, I and my husband wants to get a separation but we do want to get my
citizenship if we can.
I was wondering if I get a legal separation right now, would this affect my
application for US Citizenship?
If so, do you recommend me to stay with him till I get to get US
Citizenship?
Or is there any way that I can withdraw my application and reapply again
based on 5 years of permanent residence condition?
Please advise
Thanks in advance.
