Hi,

My husband has been working on h1 B since 2004 in US.

I worked on L1 B from March 2008 with expiry date Feb 10th 2011

My company applied for extension on Sept 2010 and got an RFE and then a denial notice on May 17th 2011 . I left the country on May 25th 2011.

I quit my job on June 10th 2011 and applied for H4 visa. What are the chances that I will get it approved. Will my previous employment cause an issue? Also will they understand that I stayed beyond the expiry date because I was waiting for an approval from the USCIS

H1B Beyond Six Year

H-1B visa is generally valid for three years and can be extended for an additional three-year period. So I'm wondering you principal applicant visa must have expired., It can be extended beyond six year only if employer have petitioned for Green Card. So you can take little precaution before applying for H4 visa.
