This is a SOS message. I will really appreciate quick reply.
Following is the summary of my case:
My family is traveling to India on May 28th (Thursday). I have not received their passport from Dept of State (DOS) where I have submitted for revalidation).
I have now only 3 working days left to receive the passport before their departure date.
Following is the summary of my case:
1. Revalidation application submitted on Jan 27th 2003 only for my family (H4)
2. Send a reminder by Fax on April 23rd, 2003 after waiting for 10-12 weeks
3. Got the letter from DOS, Washington DC dated April 25th asking for more evidence. (Evidence requested: Letter from employer in support of family members). Was asked to resubmit the application with reference number and mark the envelope with section 221(g)
4. Submitted the additional evidence on May 2nd with reference to case number and duly marked 221 (g).
5. Got another letter from DOS Washington DC dated May 9th asking for more evidence- this time evidence requested was "More details about my employer" + original copy of I-94 of Principal (Myself). (Though I have submitted notarized copy earlier). Was asked to resubmit the application with a new reference number and mark the envelope with section 221(g)

6. Resubmitted the requested evidence on May 13th with reference to case number and duly marked 221 (g).

7. DOS has received the application on May 14th. (Got confirmation through FedEx tracking number)

8. Faxed another letter to DOS at 202-663-1608 with a request to quickly process my case.

Can anybody suggest what's the best recourse now?
Will it serve any useful purpose if I go to DOS, Washington personally on Tuesday May 27th)? Has anybody has got the experience of going to DOS personally? Do they entertain personal visit?
Even if I withdraw my application now - that is on May 27th at the earliest - there is no way DOS is going to send me the same in remaining 2 days.

Your response will be highly appreciated...

Thanks & Regards

You should have withdrawn your visa application. The only course of action now is to postpone the journey and request DOS to withdraw the application and ask them to return your passports without the visas. I don't think you can personally go to the visa processing section, it is not open to public.
You can always apply in India.

Hi

Hi sunilindore,

did you got your PP with visa stamped.
do you know any reason why they asked you so many questions. Means like because of prior pay cuts or bench.

Can you please update.

Thanks

I got the visa stamped just in time. I do not know why they have asked so many questions.

Although I have attached pre-paid reciept of Fedex for return delivery those F***** have send the passports by ordinary mail.
In the process I lost 5 valuable days.

:)
