Urgent Situation: OPT to H1B

Hi,
I am on OPT valid until May 2006. the fast fill ups of H1b quota pushing me to apply for H1 before the end of aug through a consultant. My question is
1. If I apply for H1 through this consultant and If he turns out to be a jerk.. can I apply one more H1 (if the cap is not filled then) with other company/consultant or I should wait for my H1 approval and get it transfered (which means I am struck with consultant until I get H1).

Please reply soon. Its urgent coz I need to file for H1 in next couple of weeks and I need to make a decision before that. I am scared with the horror stories I heard about consultants... please suggest me...

If the quota is not exhausted you can apply another one simultaneously, if quota exhsusted you have to wait to get first approval and then get it transfer to non-jerk company.

How do you find out without joining, Jerk or non jerk company.?
