Urgent: Selective Service Registration question

Hi folks

Quick question - I know I was NOT supposed to register for Selective Service, since I was always on non-immigrant visa (F1 or H1-b) while I was in this country between the ages of 18 and 26. Do I still need to bring anything to the citizenship interview? I have my interview next week and I'm panicking! All this time I just assumed since I wasn't supposed to register, I don't need to bring anything. But now I wonder if I need to bring any proof (some letter from SS administration) saying that I wasn't supposed to register.

Any help/guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

This issue was addressed here many times. It is not an issue if you are over 26 years old or you had non-immigrant visa when you are between 18 and 26.

If you have non-immigrant visa (like h1 document or F1 visa or I-20 form), that's proof. If you need a letter from SS administration, it is too late to get a letter because you have an interview next week. I wouldn't worry about it.

I agree. It takes around 2 months to get the letter after you request for it.
Also, you can show your visa/i-94 copy and passport (for stamps) as proof. You can also show the GC copy which shows your permanent residence start date.
