Urgent questions! Need help!! Change of address

I am moving into a new house. Do I need to tell INS about it? I have no problem getting mail at the old address (since my roommate is still there for quite some time). SO, I am not going to ask the post office to forward my mail. I have heard a lot of horror stories about change of address!

if you have some one picking mails don\'t change your address with post office at all you should be fine.

the horror stories that u have heard is that the mail does not reach the new address

but it does not mean that there is a delay in approval

so if u inform the postal authorities that u have changed address
and to forward the mail it will definitely not trigger an rfe/interview or cause any delay at the CSC

so my 2 cents - definitely inform Postal authorities

the point of the post is that IS IT LEGALLY REQUIRED TO INFORM INS OF

OF AN ADDRESS CHANGE?....CAN YOU GET AWAY WITH NOT DOING THAT? From the posts here, it seems you can, which is good news!...

Yes. You can keep quiet as long as there is someone to pick up mail on your behalf you should be OK.
