Hi
I have a mexican birth certificate , and a official translation done in canada
(with an official notary seal etc)
the dv notes say that the translation must state: "your translation must include a statement signed by the translator that states the translator is competent to translate and that translation is accurate''
-- the notary seal was done by a council officer
the translation was done by .. MY DAD
he stated in at the bottom: " I ____ ___ of Cambridge, Ontario, do certify and swear that the above constitues a true translation of the above referred to document from Spanish to English''
1) i think this will be ok or should i get a new translation and statement that fully matches with their requirement (ie the translator to state they are competitant to translate!)
2) i heard that mexican birth certificates are accepted without translation requirements anyways, so maybe its not worth worrying about?
Many thanks!
