Urgent question

One of my best friend will need to move to another state. Does any big guy has comments on her following situation?

She filed her 140/485 in NSC, she has her 485 pending with NSC. Now she needs to move to GA. But GA belongs to TSC. Will her 485 be automatically transferred to TSC too? Her 140 has been approved.

Many thanks!!!

There is nothing urgent about such a transfer should it occur, as these are internal USCIS decisions that shouldn't affect you (accept for processing times maybe). I think it is unlikely that her I-485 will be transferred because I have not seen precedence for this in the past. Even my own case: I now live in a state which Texas has jurisdiction over, but I filed my case at NSC because, back then, that is what I was supposed to do. My case never got transferred and is still at NSC even though my EAD/AP renewals now go to Texas.

Thanks a lot!

Do you mean you will need to send your EAD/AP renewal to the center which covers your new address instead of your old 485 pending center?

Appreciate!

Yes, I have already sent my renewals to TSC since that's where I'm supposed to send them now, even though my I-485 is pending at NSC. That is according to the new direct filing regulations.

Thanks!!!

If possible, do you mind sharing the INS new rule of filing I-765/131 to the service center where you live, instead of going to send the renewal to the service center where your I-485 is pending?

Appreciate!
