Hi,

My I485 processing is in progress and I am working with EAD. I am from India. I plan to get married to someone in India. I plan to file follwo to join once my GC is approved. I heard it takes more than a year for follow to join to get approved.

Is it possible for me to get a reentry permit and go to India and join my wife while the follwo to join petition is being processed?

It takes years and years. If you get a reentry permit and went to India, this permit will allow you to reenter not your wife or anyone else. Other options I suggest waiting for other's:
1- Can you get a new H if you are not already exhausted your 6 years on H? If so your wife will be an H4 and you have to go back to get stamp for yourself and join your wife back and after reentry she can adjust her status (even if she is not included in your original I-140, I-485, no problem)
2- Can your wife get any other visa like student F1 ? and after her admission to US, you are still able to adjust her status.
3- Is it possible to marry any one from the US to save your effort and the complicated immigration process? (just kidding)
