Urgent question

Folks, I had received a mail from the Canadian Immigration dated March
11th, requesting me to submit additional documents, like PCC, proof of
relationship, etc. And, had 90 days since March 11th to submit the
documents. Also, in their mail they mentioned that if I do not submit
the documents within 90 day it could lead to refusal of application.
Could they really do this? I had faxed them a letter few days back
stating my situation that I have not received the requested documents
from required authorities and individuals, but haven't heard back. Is
this the right thing to do? Also, do I send them whatever documents I
receive before June 11th (90th day) and mail the remaining later?

I could really appreciate comments/ suggestions.

Yes, you did the right thing. I had faced the same issue and eventhough they didn't give me any extesion officially (a letter), they waited until I get my PCC (It took almost 125 days for me to submit all requested docs. Hope this helps.
