Urgent: Query rgd H1 visa...Pl. help!!!!

I applied for my H1 last year and it got approved also.However i was never able to get the papers from my employer. Recently i got married and came on H4 visa to US. I want to know is it possible that i take H1 papers and join some other company. Do i need to show paystubs from original employer who had filed my H1 earlier. As i never worked with that employer so i dont have any paystubs with me. Are there any other formalities too?

even for H1 to H4, they are asking paystubs.

Since 2008 starting, H1 is getting more scrutenized with RFEs/Denials.
And it is getting more severe recently.
If you apply and they ask for paystubs, you have to produce.
If you can not, h1 transfer will be denied and you should switch immediately to another status or stay on present status H4.

Nowadays it is very much necessary not to play around with INS and do the things in proper way.
