Urgent: Please Reply Does SSN is needed for Passport Stamps

Hi:

I was on H4 and availed EAD but never took SSN as I
was told according to new rule I cannot have the SSN.
My interview is scheduled on December 05. Now my
question is that will I get greencard without SSN
or I will have to wait until I get SSN. Please

Since you have an EAD now, you can go down to your local SSN office and request for an SSN. They will definitely issue one when you have EAD. Tell them you are about to get a job and employer needs the SSN for his records as well as filing taxes. Actually you do not even need to explain any of this. Just mention you got an EAD and need an SSN to work. It just takes around an hour to stand in line and apply (some places it takes only 15 minutes). SSN card will arrive by mail in 2 weeks. I suggest you go for stamping after getting SSN.
