I applied for the renewal of my passport about 2 and half weeks back through courier, yet to receive the new passport. I would appreciate if any one here can share their experience as to how long its taking recently to renew the passport.What are the things to do if it takes more than the normal time for renewing a passport.Folks this may not be the right forum for this posting, but please bear with me.

If there was an \'F\' indicating Final on your passport

Next to the Expiry date, then they have to send it to the Passport Issued office in India and get the clearance. In this case it will take 3 to 4 weeks.

Thanks for your reply. Can you tell me if the \'F\' next to expiration date is pretty common for everybody or very specific.In that case how people who go personally to the embassy for renewal get it done the
same day or next day.
