My priority date is 07-May-2002.I am a consultant & My Company is paying for my GreenCard ,they have their own lawyer who work for company on full time basis. My labor got cleared on 3rd March but They didn't tell me about that I called to Ny dol and I was surprised to hear, then I talked with
company and than they confirmed. However when I asked, they sent me copy of approved labour .Its reallly difficult to intract with lawyers.I can't force them to to send papers .They take their own time .I have done B.tech from India and I have got 5 years experience before joining
my company. They filed my labor in EB-2,they didn't ask for any document experience letters etc.I can file concurrently because
I am under EB-2 .I will file in vermont center.I want to join the client as soon as My I-140 is done and I complete 6 months on 485.I came to know from this forum that my company can keep I-140 if they want.Is it advicable to hire my own lawyer?
what if I will hire my own lawyer ,In that situation who will get I-140 My lawyer or company?
How will we come to know that I-140 is approved? My lawyer didn't give me any information on case no. for labour. They said
This is not there policy. Can they do the same thing for I-140?
I talked with one lawyer he said I can file in Eb-3 if I want but due to retogress i have to wait for may be 2 more months for 485 and all.
I am ready to spend money ,Please advice me Should I hire my own lawyer ?and which category will be faster EB-2 ( with concurrent filing) or EB-3
( I will be able to file I 485 in may or june).

Your employer will receive a copy of I-140 approval notice, who signed the I-140. So you can know the results from that person. Hiring your own attorney should be more flexible and informative. There is no reason why do not file the EB-2 if you are qualified.
