Urgent! Please help with I-130

Hello everyone:

My sister has applied for my borther and sister; and their I-130 got approved. Now do we go ahead and submit all papers (I-485??) or wait till we hear from the USCIS.

I guess my question is what is the next process and what do we need for that (485 application??) - if someone could please let me know via this thread or PM me would be greatly appreciated!

Your brother and sister will be going through Consular Processing. An I-485 is only used when the alien is in the USA at the time their priority date is current.

You must wait until that priority date becomes current, which of course won't happen for several years... about 10-12 years.

It's seem like he was so excited in getting the approved I-130, he probably thought he need to file right away. I know, that's how I felt years ago when mine was approved, until I found out I have to wait some more years.
