Hi friends,

I am going to Canada for landing process next month. I booked the appointment for H1 stamping also at Toronto consulate. But after reading H1 stamping experience in this forum I am little scared.

My question is , can I come back to USA same day after landing in Canada?
My visa in passport is expired in 2003. I have valid I-797 and I-94.

Please advise.

As long as you have valid I-94 with 797 then you can come back without any problem. I read in this forum many folks did that way to go to canada and come back.

Please read the Landing experience thread. it has lot of posting about coming back with valid i-94. Also post your experience once you come back.

I landed in Canada and did my H1 B stamping and returned after a week. Its not possible to generalize that people are having issues. It just depends on the officer you get at that time, documents etc.
Since then I have done H1b stamping twice not a single issue got it the next day.
