PERM Filers and gurus,

My H1B expires in May 2007 and because of that I am hoping to file my PERM case before May 2006. Any idea if this can be achieved if we start advertising process in December 05. What's the shortest time frame (ad, waiting period etc.) before a PERM EB2 case can be successfully filed after we hire a lawyer.

My current LC is pending with BEC for 2.5 years and I wanted to move on before I get in to my last year of H1.

Please advise. Thanks.

60 days are the shortest time. But, don't expect that. To be safe, just add 2 more months for all related stuffs.
Remember if you wait until last minute, your perm got denined due to some mistakes (this could happen), then you need to resubmit. The new priority day will be taken.
So, why don't you start NOW.

Yes, I think you are right. I should start ASAP.

The problem is that the employer is going to file PERM for future employment and seems they are completely new to the immigration process. I still have to make them understand the time it takes and make them commited to the process.

Could it be a problem with the PERM approval if employer haven't had any immigrants sponsored before? Employer is not that small in terms of number of employees (about 500-1000)

Thanks.
