I'm new to this forum.
I've been on H-1b for last 4 years, I recently applied for concurrent I-140 and I-485 on a substitute Labor.

RD for I-140,I-485 and EAD 05-05-2004
ND for all above 05-13-2004.

I got a call from lawyers office yesterday that both my I-140 and I-485 are approved. I thought there was some mix-up because I have not even received finger print notice. I checked online status and it says approved on 06-24-04 for both I-140 and I-485 and says pending for EAD. I spoke to my lawyer today and he says he got approval notices and asks me not to worry about FP.

I really dont know whats going on, I see here online that there are hundreds of applicants waiting since 2002. Is it for real or is INS going to get back to me later saying its a mistake. I never gave my finger prints for any agency for any purpose. And I didnt expect these to get approved in less than two months. if they are really approved for some reason why does it say pending for EAD. Please advise.

We have never heard of a I-485 approval without Getting Finger Printed. It is possible that a trainee officer might have adjudicated your case, without knowing that FP clearance is needed for approval. Make sure that it is not a INS mistake. Recently California Office has send lot of Welcome Notice without approving I-485 petitions.

If this approval is correct, you are the one in very very very few lucky people here. Congrats!!!!

I think that INS would have done adjudication by mistake, hoping its a different file all together. If your case is genuinely approved, maan. I bet its the "8th Wonder of the World" for sure.

Without fingerprinting, I havent heard anyone getting their 485 approval. Also you havent got your EAD and your case is also substitution case which makes me still more puzzled..

Just wait to see if INS comes back to you saying if they did something wrong.

You are approved...

Why don’t you believe what INS is saying! There is a pilot program underway at CSC to approve 140/485 in 90 days. Its very likely that VSC has adopted that pilot too. Don’t read too much into FP, there may be a change in process as well, you will surly be finger printer but at a later date.

bcoz u'r FP is not done, they will catch u at 'port of entry' u when you enter USA next time. Contact a good lawyer.

Don't worry about FP. They might do it when you go for Stamping your passport. This might be a new procedure. It seems to be a mistake by the officer (forgot to check if yur FP is done), but who knows what they are upto ? I think that you are all set to get your passport stamped and collect the GC in about a month.
 
Your lawyer should know if it is real or any mistake.

In any case, that is how IT SHOULD BE: NO FINGERPRINTS.

Fingerprints are for suspects, like all of us. We are treated like suspects for something. I am sure you are innocent and if something happens, plea no contest!

Impossible yogibajpai - USCIS cannot approve without FP. FP is far more accurate in identification compared to name check!

I have reasons to be sceptic - post your case number as many digits as you can - maybe hide last 3.

It has not happened in CSC where pilot program is running. If that is what was going to happen then people who are getting 140 approvals nowadays should have also got 485 done without FP - it never happened.(in light of FO memo).

I have more reason to be sceptic - your first and only post till date - you write like a well versed guy on the portal. Your registration was done today. Excuse me of my rudeness but if you are right - I hope to see a befitting reply to my post with a reasonable number of digits in your case number posted.

But nice to see dsatish in VSC 140 forum.

I dont believe this case, Do they really use software ? if so there might be cross check also...... No rule comes just like that .... No FP and 485 approval....
I guess no officer has authority to approve as it receives application and approve it.....

The person who posted message.... He never comes to PORTAL after approval ( most of them )... he really started posting after approval...

If it is true.........Really, There is no INS GC 'process' exactly what they process...... I bet....
 
Approved is approved, unless they retract it for some clerical mistake. :confused:
In my undersatnding FP is a must must for GC. :eek:
But with BCIS anything goes. :rolleyes:

Congrats!

This is really a strange case. Double check in any case. You won't need EAD once you have the 485 approved, probably that's why EAD is pending.

I guess this "yogibajpai" is a 100% hoax. He just created an id yesterday and talks all "bull shit". No one has never, ever heard of that stupidity with INS.

He has never answered back again even after several postings in this forum and I am sure that he is one of the "D--- A--" who tries to make a fool of everyone, but doesnt know that he is a fool of himself.

If Yogi is new to this forum and joined only yesterday how does he know that there are 100's of applicants waiting for GC on this forum ? Did he read all the forum of most of it in a day ?

Even if one doesnt come into this forum, everyone in the outside world knows that there are millions waiting for their GC's get done.

In this scenario, his guess of 100 is too minimal.. What do you say.. Anyone who stands outside this forum can also make that minimum wild guess of 100 waiting...

Ofcourse as you said he might be a guy who has been /or still in this forum and just started throwing some idiotic statements.. If a person is waiting for an answer with a question of such an urgent nature, he would have atleast come back again to answer to the questions posted by other folks in this forum..

This clearly shows that he is a human without a backbone..
