Urgent Pcc Help....

Hi Gurus,

I\'ve CP interview scheduled on Dec. 31, 2001.
I called consulate in Mumbai, they said I don\'t need PCC on Dec. 31, 2001 but for any reason if my case goes on the next day then I will be required to get the PCC.

Now for regional PCC it takes approx. 35-40 days and its not possible to get it in time. I don\'t know what to do. I am confused.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Have you received any written request for the PCC?

I think, you should send an application for the PCC to the local embassy- just in case. If you get it before you leave, well and good. If not, go for the interview and hope that they don\'t ask for it. If they do ask for it, explain the situation and tell them that you will submit it as soon as you recieve it from the embassy. Also, explain the local embassy your situation when you submit your application and see if they can expedite your case (in some situations, they may charge a little extra for faster service). If you are still paranoid about the situation, then postponing the interview is another option.

No I haven\'t received any written request for PCC. Like I said, I did call the consulate and they told me that I DO NOT need PCC for 12/31/2001, but if my case goes beyond that date (i.e. due to some lack of documentation or b\'cos of some doubt that they may have) then I\'ll need PCC.

relax .. they can t be that un reasonable to expect you to show
up with a police cert in 1 day.

In fact i still doubt that even jan / feb cp ers will actually be asked for this .
Their official web site still says no PCC is reqd.
