urgent: need some advice

Hi

I finally got my approval today ( 24th August 2002 ), don't
have the letter yet ( which will hopefully come next week )

RD : Aug 8 2001
ND: Sept 24 2001

I have to travel to India this week ( 31st August 2002 ),
tickets are already purchased. And the trip cannot be postponed

can some one please advise what options I have

1. Get the stampng after I come back ? 4 weeks from now
for me, whereas 4 months for spouse

2. call up IIO and request them to FAX me a copy ? Is it possible ?

3. And any other ideas or suggestions ?

Try Using the AP for travel purposes

That's waht an AP is for. Talk to a lawayer as well. Try Aheckler.com.

Many months ago I'd read a similar case on this board. The person had explained the situation to an IIO and VSC had sent the approval copy to him by overnight FedEx (ofcourse you have to pay money for FedEx).

With that, you might be able to get the stamping done before your India trip. Congratulations and all the best!
 
Congrats on your approval. If you have your AP I think you will not have any problems. At the POE act like you don't know about your approval. You will undergo a second inspection at the poe. Consult a lawyer also.

Consult your lawyer. Few peope get their courtesy copy in three or four days.

I tried to search on this site. I could not get the same exact post in the results. But look at this link regarding IIOs. Go to the bottom - The post by GCKool in this discussion is also referring to the same thing about IIOs sending approval notice by FedEx (I guess). Here is the link -

It's amazing to see how much business FedEx gets due to INS and us immigrants :) I searched for FedEx in this forum and was lost!
