Urgent -- Marriage after receiving interview date?

After years of waiting I just got a date to go for my GC interview in a couple weeks.

My boyfriend and I have been together for more than 6 years and have postponed our wedding several times because my parents thought marrying him while I was waiting for my GC would mess up my process.

If I married him now, before my interview, would that cause any changes in my interview date? Will he be able to get his papers at the same time as me?

Please advise.

We just can't imagine spending the next several years apart while I wait for citizenship.

Provide more details:

1) Who filed a petition for you to get a GC? Is that person a Resident or Citizen of USA?
2) What is the immigration status of your boyfriend?

My parents were permanent residents when they originally filed. They are now citizens. I was already 21 when they received their GC so unlike my younger siblings, I was not able to immigrate with the rest of the family.

My boyfriend only has a visitor's visa and has never overstayed in the US. Otherwise he has no US status. We're still living in our home country while I await my interview in a couple weeks.

I hope this helps clarify our situationn.
