now i am admitted to penn state for fall 2006 for Ms in EE ,when i go for my F1 visa the vo will ask me about my parents gc.... is it safe to tell them the actual thing that my parents took the gc 4 my bro who plans to settle there...?or should i tell them that my parents are not going to migrate...wat prrof should i show the vo that i wil return to india....... My visa in on 26 june..... i need help urgently..........

It is always better to tell the truth than be caught in a lie. But in your situation, it will be very hard to prove that you have no intention of immigrating at all when all of your family has already moved to the US and have valid GCs. I think you should tell them the truth and see what happens.

let me tell u something, tell them the truth...they might not give u the student visa..but in the long run you will gain....
if u r cought trying to cover it up forget ur f1 as well as green card...
besides while applying for gc the way things are going right now it is not safe to mislead them...

parents still here

well.... i 4got to mention 1 thing.... my parents are still here in india. and my bro is also studin here.. now does that improve my case...? wat do u think r my chances... pls reply...

neha

If your parents are still in India not visited to US.

You can mention No relatives in US, it may increase your chance. But no US sponser for your finance.

Hi Neha,

Could you please let me know what happened to your case. I am in exact same position, parents(GC holder) and brother(GC Holder) are still in Inida. I have an elder sister on H1 B who has sent I-134. Please let me know what kind of questions did you face.

I would be really thankful for your help.

Thanks!!
Khyati
