I have applied for Change of Status from H4 to H1B in US. If my H1B is approved without I-94,
a) What will be my status, the day I receive the H1 approval without I-94?
b) I understand I should leave the country for visa stamping. How quickly should I leave the country for stamping from the time I get an approval without I-94?

you can stay until your H4 , I 94 card validity date.
