Urgent - Job Change - please suggest

I applied I-485 in Sep 2001. My company had a massive layoff last month and I also got affected. As my GC is in the last stage, I was able to convince them to keep me on Leave of absence so that I have employment but no paystubs.
I have a very good job offer but the profile of the position is quite different. It is in Support while I was originally in Development. I am very sure that it does NOT qualify the "similar job" criteria of AC21. I am not sure what to do.
Any suggestions of what to do in such situation ?

let me add to the chorus.

support and development need not be two entirely different things. If you convince your new company to call you "engineer" and say generic things like "help in design/execution" you should be fine (All this if RFE is generated).

you are in good shape, just get the best lawyer.

the job offer i have is from a very big firm and they will not be interested in changing the job details for me. They may go ahead with some other candidate if I make a chaos.
