Urgent info needed on AP..pls respond immediately!!

Hi,

A friend of mine has to go to india immediately becoz of some medical emergency in their family. she has applied 485 long time back( 1+ yr) but they have not applied for the AP, so far. When they went to Local INS office, the local office refused to give them AP. I wanted to know whether,


1. She can apply for AP now and go to india anyway and wait in india until she recieves the AP and then come back to US.

2. What other alternative she can think of without affecting their GC process.

3. One more problem..she has applied for GC in CSC but they reside in midwest which is NSC juristiction. Is there any problem applying for AP from here.

Pls advice asap..thanx in advance

Ask her family members in India to give her a Fax stating that she should be there because of the medical emergency.

Take that fax document and apply for emergency AP.

Convince them why an emergency AP is required.

Based on the Fax Document, they may give her an AP.

Thanks for the quick response Lycos_999.

But what i understand from her is that even after providing the
document from hospital and doctor letter from india they didn't issue AP. So i was wondering with the legal alternative under this circumstance.
