Urgent: I-485 RFE Status from USCIS

Hi folks,

I have received I-485 RFE's on my case and my wife's case sometime back. The RFE deadline is approaching and My employer and attorneys say they have reponded to RFE's 10 days back. I cannot talk to attorney due to company policy. But USCIS case status is not updated.

I want to know if USCIS case status gets updated after responding RFE's ? how long they will take to update the status?

Is there any other way I can findout if the RFE's are responded? Can I call NSC i800 number? please help.

Could you tell us little detail about the RFE. I have the similar situation me and my wife received the RFE last week, but we are not sure what documents they are asking.

If you know your LIN # then you can dial 1-800***** and talk to a representative. Most of the time they are helpful. But you never know
 
online msg changes LUD

if they have received a response from your lawyer, they update on the case system in 1-2 days. eg JULY 19th we have received ur rfe response etc etc
or
set up online account @uscis.gov to have it emailed.

talk to HR manager and make sure ur lawyer is working on it, many a times the lawyer will not even bother to check 30 day period.

I have RFE on my I-485 and my wife's I-485, sent out yesterday as per USCIS tracker. I have no idea what the rfe is about, could you please share your rfe details.

Does anyone have list of all the common RFE's in 485 state? what a nightmare, I just finished answering I-140 rfe a month ago :eek:
 
folks my RFE is responed by my attorneys.I got emails from USCIS confirming that..


My RFE.. employment verification, Job Duties, Salary, 2 photos and photo Id document.

My wife's RFE, proof of Bonafide marriage, joint back statements, creditcard statements, joint It returns, Marriag eCertificate, 2 Photos.

My employer's lawyer has recieved 5 other i-485 rfe :eek: , general theme is what you described.
 
my case status is getting updated daily. The dates are changing on each day since we responded to RFE. Does it mean anything or its just USCIS way of handling RFE's?
