Urgent Help

I am currently working for company A on H1-B. My company A has filed for extension of visa which is still in the processing (4 months).

I have a offer from another company B, which has not started my H1-B processing. Do I have to wait till I get my H1-b from company B before I can start working for them?

Why is it taking so long for H1-B approval?

You need the receipt copy or receipt number of that H1 extension to file for the H1 transfer.
when you get the receipt number you can find out why it is taking so long by calling the INS service center ...
