I applied for I_485 for my mother today. I put a money order for filing fee as $385 instead of $395 by mistake. What is going to happen? IS there anyway i can send the correct fee before this application get returned? Please help.

Happened to me.
What you'll get is a I-797 Notice of Action with all your filed forms, copies and cheques. The NOA is a rejection of the case. You simply send it all back with a new cheque. Look at my timeline to get how long it'll take. It's not that much.
I tend to think that sending a cheque before you receive the rejection just complicates the case since you have no receive or case number so far to relate the cheque to.
