Received RFE - company's letter required. I have changed my employer after a year of filing. Didn't depart good with my ex-employer. Now my attorney wants an email from my ex-employer to indicate that it is okay for them to process my I485. Without this email, they refused to response to RFE. What can I do..

Your attorney is ???. 485 is yours. There is no need to get consent from your ex-employer.

Respond to RFE yourself with current employment letter. You qualify for AC21.

RFE

you will be surprised to know who 's my attorney ...will let you know what he says. If he still insists on email for his internal filing purposes, can I re-hire a new attorney since he is charging me extra to do this processing..

Maybe asking a letter from your previous attorney.

Is this new attorney your official attorney? [through G28 form] If not, your new attorney can send a letter to your old attorney to get all the documents.
Letter from old employer is not needed, if you are going to use AC21. Also make sure you are qualified for AC21, just to be on the safe side.

These are the thing which I feel you have to do.

1) Get RFE notice from current attorney
2) Find another attorney file G-28 with him.
3) Respond RFE through new attorney.

RFE

This attorney just rejected filing RFE response. I am looking for another attorney to file RFE using AC21 for me..any good recommendation around NJ or NY area?

what other information do I require from this attorney?

Rgds

routineusgc,
I would suggest to get all your green card package which includes you lc, I-140 approval, RFE etc.

Right now you need to get RFE immediately.

I-140 approval is also important (Not all the time you require, but better to have it).

Sorry, I am not from NJ. Can't suggest any lawyer.

thanks, guy

as per your advise, I have requested my attorney to release all papers to me and have re-hire a new attorney.
