Urgent Help Needed

Hi all,
I need urgent help from all you guys. I know this is not related to 485.
My I-485 has been filed in April 2002 and now I was fired though my employer didn't cancelled the green card processing. So far I didn't get any job. I'm looking for a job in Natural and ADABAS. Can some one help me in finding the Job?
Now my situation is too bad and looking for a job desperately. I think you guys can understand.

it would have helped if you had mentioned your area of work.

if you are in IT, may be a brief description of your skill set.
 
I'm in IT and my main skill set is Natural, ADABAS, Natural Reporter, IBM Main Frames, CICS, COBOL, DB2. I have almost 5 years of experience in this field.

I don't have much to promise, but if I find something I will send you a private message.

In the meantime, stay focussed and keep looking. I know it is easier said than done. Also, look at the other thread started by 'freaked' today.

I'm also in the same boat except...

I'm also in a similar position. When my employer said that they were going to lay me off, I told them about the Green Card and asked them to keep me in leave of absence, so that the 180 days mark is passed.

Now I crossed the 180 days, still looking for a job.

My sugession to April_2002 to is to talk to their employer and ask them to put him in Leave Of Absence for about 2 months and look for job. They are not going to loose anything by doing that.

I need some advice from other members of the board,
Can I do independent consulting now.
Can I start a company and work for it.
Any other idea to handle the situation.

Thanks for your help. I've sent my resume to you.

In fact I asked my employer to keep me on Leave of Absence. But, they didn't agree for that. They don't want to take any liability. Now I'm paying my health insurance for me and my family. My comapny has terminated me. But, they kept my green card processing and didn't cancelled my H1B. And also they don't have any problem if I join any other company. Basically they don't want to pay any thing. They will be trying a job for me and if they can show, then they will take me as new employee with new salary etc...etc.... I've been in bench for the past 3 months with no income.
