Urgent help needed to file AP applications

Gurus,

I need to file AP for me and my spouse. I have couple of questions about this filing:

1) what A# means - A# on I-485 receipt notice (which start with A) or A# on EAD (which starts with 0)? What's the length/format of this A#?

2) Class of admission - I believe it should be H1-B as I did enter into US last time on H1-B. (H4-B for my spouse)

3) Date of Intended Departure (mm/dd/yyyy) - Do I need to specify exact date in mm/dd/yyyy format or I can put text also as I am not sure about the date? If text can be put, what would you guys suggest?

4) Expected length of Trip - I believe it shd in "How many days" or free format text can also be entered?

(note: I am looking to apply for multiple entries and for multiple countries like my home country and other country like Canada, so please suggest about 3 and 4 keeping in mind these constraints)

5) Can I send both (mine and my spouse) applications in a single envelope or do I need to have two separate applications sets? I believe - I need separate envelopes for each AP, please suggest.

6) What is the best mode to send the AP application to VSC via mail? Post office's priority mail, fedex, ups...please suggest.

7) Documents to attach with application other than listed below:
- Check of $110 + $110 payable to USCIS
- 1-131 form for both
- Copy of both Driver License (front and back)
- Copy of both passport ( all pages)
- Copy of both approved EAD (front and back)
- 2 Photos (for each person)
- Copy of both 1-485 receipts

I appreciate your timely help in advance.

Thx.

Enter the A# which is on your I-485 receipt.

2) Class of admission - I believe it should be H1-B as I did enter into US last time on H1-B. (H4-B for my spouse)

Yes

3) Date of Intended Departure (mm/dd/yyyy) - Do I need to specify exact date in mm/dd/yyyy format or I can put text also as I am not sure about the date? If text can be put, what would you guys suggest?

Give any intended date of departure (in mm/dd/yyyy format), doesn't mean you have to travel on that day.

4) Expected length of Trip - I believe it shd in "How many days" or free format text can also be entered?

Doesn't really matter what you put here, can put two months. You'll still get approval valid for one year.

5) Can I send both (mine and my spouse) applications in a single envelope or do I need to have two separate applications sets? I believe - I need separate envelopes for each AP, please suggest.

It is always preferrable to prepare two seperate sets and put them in seperate envelopes.

6) What is the best mode to send the AP application to VSC via mail? Post office's priority mail, fedex, ups...please suggest.

Any thing works.

7) Documents to attach with application other than listed below:

- Copy of both Driver License (front and back)
- Copy of both passport ( all pages)
- Copy of both approved EAD (front and back)
- 2 Photos (for each person)
- Copy of both 1-485 receipts

No need to send copies of approved EAD and Passport, but no harm.

I didn't get your question. We do have an A#, on 485 receipt.

My question is that A# stands for Alien number which one would get after GC approval . Is the A# mentioned in our 485 receipt, EAD, AP and the one after approval the same ?
