Urgent help needed on vaccinations for entering US

My 72 year old mother just had her green card interview in Chennai and successfully received a green card. She is planning to travel to the US in early June. When she did her medical check up in late April, the doctor gave her the first vaccination shot for Varicella. Further, the doctor indicated that she would need to have a second shot on May 13th.

Given that my mother is extremely busy preparing to come here, does she really need to get the second shot as scheduled? Will she have problems entering the US without the second shot? How critical is it? Can she simply tell the immigration officials at the port of entry that she will get her second shot in the US?

thanks much for your help

P.S: The consular officer didn't mention any of this while granting the visa. But, I think the vaccination record shows that the second shot is needed.

She is busy enough not to get one shot?
What if her brown envelope has a note inside letting the USCIS officers know that she needs to produce proof of getting the second shot. You want to take that risk?
