Urgent Help - Address Change

My 485 application is pending name check since April 2005. I moved to new address in October last year and sent AR-11 form. I also applied for EAD and received EAD at new address.

My case status has not been updated nor touched since Nov 2006. It states 'Document OTHER than CARD manufactured and mailed'. This document was a response to case inquiry done last year.

Today I called USCIS at the 1-800 number and they told me they mailed green card 3 weeks ago to the address on file. Since I haven't received it, the customer rep said it is lost and I have to file I-90.

Please let me know what I can do in this situation other than filing I-90, which may again delay the process. :(

If the GC itself was sent to old adress and lost, there will be a delay to get the other may be 6 months up to one year not before that.

AR-11 does NOT update your address with USCIS, you should separately update your address with ANY pending application, like I-485 etc., normally people do update both by phone and by mail. If you did not do it - do it at least now. There is a possibility that your GC was mailed back to USCIS and then if they will have your new address - they will re-mail it to you (this happened with my I-140 approval).

This is totally out of context of this thread... for you I-140, were you representing yourself because my I-140 was sent to my attorney not to my address
